Just lost a good friend.

It all started when Myrtle was killed. Maybe this wouldn't have happened if Gatsby didn't take the blame for Myrtle's death. It doesn't feel right that Gatsby died as soon as his plan was almost complete. I'm just so, mad! He was so close to his end goal. Why did he have to die! Daisy didn't even come to his funeral. He spent so much time and effort to get Daisy and then he dies. Now Gatsby and Wilson are dead and its because of Myrtle's death. Maybe if Tom never cheated or if Gatsby waited a little longer, maybe it would've worked out for Gatsby. If only he hadn't been stuck on the past. I'm just so angry with everyone. It seemed like he had all these friends but none of them came. - Nick

I don't know what to do anymore.

We had Gatsby, Nick, and Jordan over for lunch today. At first things were okay, but things escalated when we went to the city. We got a hotel room in the city and Tom confronted Gatsby about his love for me. There was lots of yelling and things being said for me, I didn't know what to do. I was forced to tell my husband I never loved him when it wasn't true. All I could do was cry. After we left the hotel I drove to calm my nerves and hit someone. She was killed instantly but we kept on driving. Gatsby said he would take the blame for me though. I just feel like breaking down and crying. I'm making a man I love take my blame. I can't give him what he wants and my husband found out. Now I've hit a person and just ran from it all. I just don't know what to do. To Gatsby it looked like I never loved Tom, but in reality I did. - Daisy

Just met Daisy again, feeling excited!

It's been about five years since me and Daisy last met. Seeing her today was the most exhilarating thing that has happened to me since the war. I finally got to see Daisy again. It was like we were never apart, it felt so right! I was so nervous at first because I've worked so hard for that moment. In my own opinion she looked happy to me, but in her eyes I could tell she was in pain. My plan is falling into place perfectly. I wasn't able to see the green light that night though.  - Gatsby

Just left Gatsby's party!

Wow, I had a lot of fun tonight. I feel relatively awkward after hearing all of those stories about Gatsby and then actually meeting him! I thought he was going to be old and really tight but actually he was a young guy that seemed a bit too relaxed. For some reason he invited me but I was the only one invited, I wish I knew why. He even invited me to ride in a hydroplane with him! - Nick

Just met Daisy's cousin again

Daisy's cousin seemed like a cool guy. He doesn't talk much but he's a friend now. We had a conversation about some guy named Gatsby. I don't know who he is but I can tell I don't like this mystery man. When Nick left he looked kind of upset. I tried to show Daisy I was happy with her in front of Nick, but in reality I want to see Myrtle. - Tom
